Deputy Sheriffs are always connecting with members of the communities of Kanawha County. In addition to contacts through law enforcement functions, you may also find Deputies and staff members giving presentations about neighborhood watch programs and the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse. Others will give instruction to elementary school children on traffic and bicycle safety. The Kid Print program lets parents keep a record of their children’s fingerprints. The population is also kept safer through undercover details to catch people buying alcohol for underage teens and stings targeting stores and clerks who sell alcohol directly to teenagers.
If you are coordinating a fair or community gathering and would like to have a Deputy Sheriff help with a presentation, please call 304-357-0216 to make inquiry. Remember, our aim is to enhance the quality of life for the people of Kanawha County.
